WHAT IS THE PERMANENT EYELINERS TECHNIQUE?

Permanent eyeliner is a PMU (permanent makeup) treatment that involves using a specialised tattoo machine to implant pigment on the lash line to replicate the look of eyeliner. The treatment, also known as an eyeliner tattoo, can be applied in a variety of styles, including larger strong wings, light lash enhancements, or smokey looks in many colours. Permanent eyeliner can last between 3-5 years. This can change depending on age, lifestyle, skin type, etc.

Pre-Appointment Restrictions

Less than 60 days prior

Chemical peels

Less than 28 days prior

Botox treatment

Less than 7 days prior

Tans, sunburns, or prolonged sun exposure

Please avoid

Application of Retinols, Retin-A, or anti-aging or acne creams around eyebrows
Plucking, waxing, tinting, threading, or application of hair removal products

Less than 48 hours prior

Application of serums containing acids

Less than 24 hours prior

Consumption of Aspirin, Ibuprofen, Niacin, Vitamin E, fish oil (omega-3) or CoQ10
Consumption of alcohol or caffeine

THE HEALING PROCESS

In order to preserve the longevity of your beautiful new brows, our estheticians recommend the following daily guidelines:

Day 1

Keep brows clean and dry. While they may feel tender and appear a little red, do not touch them.

Day 2-3

Brows will start developing a thin layer of scab. Continue keeping your brows clean and dry.

Days 4-13

Apply a rice grain amount of aftercare ointment on each eyebrow with a cotton swab and clean hands. Spread a VERY THIN layer of the ointment across the treated area every morning and night. Brows should never appear greasy, glossy or shiny. Never apply ointment on wet or damp brows. Continue applying ointment until your brows are no longer scabbing.

Days 14-27

Brows are safe to be exposed to water. Resume normal skincare routine. Brows may appear very light.

Day 28+

Brows are fully healed.

MAINTAINING YOUR Permanent Eyeliners

Each new set of Permanent Eyeliners takes two sessions to complete. In order to achieve your desired look, a touchup appointment approximately 6-8 weeks after the initial session is required. After this complimentary touchup appointment, we recommend returning for an annual touchup session to maintain the crispness and freshness of your brows. Should you require a touchup session any sooner, please contact us for consultation and booking information.
